Time for Thanksgiving

As we enter the holiday season, EnFlex would like to thank you, our customers and partners who have worked with us this year, for a very successful year. Though we saw 2003 begin with trying economic conditions, we have found ever growing acceptance of the solutions we bring to the industry. As we enter 2004 we at EnFlex are proud to have significantly increased the number of systems integrators delivering EnFlex-based customer solutions. We have also added a number of device drivers this year to provide our customers with additional capabilities in the marketplace. We expect to release one more before the year is out.

This will be our last newsletter for the year and therefore we would like to extend a warm and happy holiday season greetings to you. May the new year bring success to you and peace to all.

Costco Deploys EnFlex’s eWebConnect for Enterprise Facility Information Management

Prescott, AZ – November 11, 2003, EnFlex Corp. announced today that Costco Wholesale Corporation has deployed EnFlex’s eWebConnect enterprise facility monitoring and control software at their corporate facility in Issaquah, Washington. Plans call for continued connection of warehouse systems to the central monitoring system throughout the next 24 months. Costco’s new facility management infrastructure provides real-time energy information, web based management of existing control systems, and central alarm management with a low total cost of ownership due to the open architecture of the EnFlex software.

EnFlex’s eWebConnect software, a Linux enterprise application working with EnFlex Control Servers installed at each warehouse, effectively links existing warehouse control systems to the Costco Microsoft SQL Server database to deliver a cost effective facility information system.

Costco warehouse managers, operations personnel, service providers and the corporate energy staff can now more effectively manage warehouse energy consumption and operating conditions via a standard web browser. The EnFlex eWebConnect system enables the Costco warehouse staff to take responsibility for warehouse control systems to reduce the local energy consumption and operating expense. It also allows corporate management to support this effort by monitoring, comparing, and evaluating the strategies the facilities are executing.

“The open architecture and flexibility of EnFlex’s eWebConnect software enables Costco to effectively implement an enterprise-wide facility management system tailored to its unique requirements, said Gerry Lands, CEO of EnFlex Corp. “By networking the existing facility systems with our Linux-based enterprise application, Costco can significantly reduce operating costs related to energy consumption, maintenance, and contracted services.

EnFlex’s eWebConnect software utilizes Costco’s internal WAN and provides both real time and historic energy and systems operating information to authorized system users. In addition to its local and global web interface for use by warehouse managers, the software provides alarm management, custom and automatic report generation, and advanced diagnostics to monitor the health of the system and all its components.
