Andrew Colman

Chief Executive Officer

Andy has over 25 years of executive and operational experience in energy supply and demand management. His specialties are in management, product development, sales, marketing and engineering. He joined EnFlex from MACH Energy, where he was Co-Founder and Vice President of this socially responsible web-service that lowers energy usage and spend in commercial office buildings. Andy conceived the company, recruited the founding team, designed core applications, helped raise venture funding and closed key sales. Earlier, he built and led the dominant sales teams for New Energy Ventures, now Constellation New Energy, and for First Pacific Networks, a cable modem pioneer. Andy was an energy strategist with Booz, Allen & Hamilton, and started his career as a research engineer at Westinghouse Advanced Reactors Division. He attended the University of Virginia, where he earned a B.S. and an M.E. in Nuclear Engineering, plus an M.B.A. from Virginia's Darden School. He lives near San Francisco with his wife and children, and is an avid bicyclist.

David Wolins

Founder and VP Business Development

David has over 25 years of experience in the energy efficiency industry with expertise in HVAC, refrigeration and controls for commercial and industrial buildings. As a founder of EnFlex, he developed the sales, marketing and corporate vision for the company. Prior to starting EnFlex, David was an energy consultant working with utilities and end-use customers in the development of high efficiency buildings. Some of his notable projects include PG&E's Advance Customer Technology Test (for commercial buildings), building optimization for the US Navy's Westdiv, and the refrigeration redesign for Leprino Foods, the world's largest manufacturer of mozzarella. David has worked in the building controls industry for over 20 years and was a founder of Energoup Technologies, now known as Advanced Control Technologies. He attended the University of California at Berkeley where he earned a BS in Mechanical Engineering. David is a member of ASHRAE, AEE and RETA.

Karl Swanson

Chief Operating Officer

Karl has over 23 years of experience in HVAC control systems and facility operations. At EnFlex over the past 10 years he has held several positions for the company including operations manager, deployment supervisor for several retailers, product design, technical sales, technical support and training manager. Prior to EnFlex Karl was the lead Technical Consultant for the U.S. Navy on direct digital controls and worked on systems worldwide. He has extensive experience in the operation and analysis of facility systems. Karl has a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Washington State University and is a registered Professional Engineer. He lives near Prescott, Arizona with his wife; both accomplished equestrians.

Greg Tinfow

Chief Technology Officer

Greg Tinfow has over 25 years of experience in engineering and software development. He has held the senior technical position in three early-stage application service providers in the areas of environmental data management, video conferencing, and energy information services. Previously, he was Managing Director of R&D at AES New Energy, a major retail energy provider now part of the Constellation Energy group. Mr. Tinfow has also been a management consultant to the energy and transportation industries in the areas of advanced communications and software and has held engineering R&D positions at both Apple and Stanford University. He received his undergraduate degree in Chemistry and Policy Studies from Dartmouth College and a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University.

Kent Miller

VP Sales & Marketing

Kent has over 20 years of experience in software and IT sales and marketing. He is joining EnFlex from Fiberlink, where he led the company's sales of network security software and services for the western U.S. Earlier, Kent was a sales executive for Microsoft, where he spent 13 years building & leading teams, as well as personally closing major software sales to the business and institutional sectors. Prior to Microsoft, Kent was a key account manager for Apple Computer Inc., where he focused on the educational market. BS in Business Administration, California State University at Chico; MA Organizational Management, pending thesis, University of Phoenix (California). Kent and his family live in the San Francisco Bay Area, and he is an active outdoorsman.

Roger Friedberger

Board of Advisors

Roger has over 25 years of experience in top financial executive positions at both publicly traded and venture-backed companies. Most recently Roger was SVP and CFO for San Francisco-based SPL WorldGroup, a multinational software services firm that provides solutions to the utility industry and government, which was acquired by Oracle at the end of 2006. Earlier he was the CFO of ILOG, a provider of business rule management, optimization and visualization software and services. Roger led their IPO onto Nasdaq in 1997. He was also CFO at Insignia Solutions and Micro Focus, both UK/Silicon Valley software companies, which he helped take public on Nasdaq and the London Stock Exchange, respectively. Roger started his career as an auditor with Price Waterhouse in London, England and San Jose, California, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant and a Certified Public Accountant, respectively. He has a Bachelor of Commerce Honors Degree from the University of Leeds in England. Roger has served on the advisory boards of Workshare and Brixlogic, both international software companies. He is currently on the Advisory Board of Advologix a Software as a Service (SaaS) provider to the global Legal Practice Management market.
